Review ~ Natures Plus Keto products

If you’re following, or thinking about starting, the ketogenic diet the range of nutrients required to maintain a healthy body can seem overwhelming. Plus, not many companies in the UK provide specific Keto support products.

We were lucky enough to be sent some great items to try from Natures Plus:

KetoLiving LCHF (low carb high fat) Shake

This is a shake powder, available in Vanilla or Chocolate flavour which is designed to reduce hunger, keep your blood sugar controlled and help you stay in ketosis. You just mix two spoonfuls of the powder to water, cream or another liquid to make a shake. The tub contains the measuring spoon.

Per serving (38.5g) it has 240 calories, 20g of fat, 9g of protein 5g of carbs and 1.5g of sugar (the chocolate flavour has 0.5g sugar). This is not including the liquid that you mix the powder with.

The powder is very fine and has a soft texture. The chocolate flavour has a lovely ‘chocolate milkshake’ smell to it and produced a very similar consistency to a milkshake, even when made with water. It’s a slightly thinner consistency to a standard protein shake. We used a ‘shaker’ bottle to mix the shakes, but it would also be fine to use a hand blender or processor (using a fork left too many lumps behind). It’s very good to have an alternative drink or breakfast option than Bulletproof Coffee again!

KetoLiving Multi

This is a multivitamin tablet which contains vitamins, minerals, ketogenic whole foods plus probiotics. These tablets help to ensure your nutrition is well balanced, with added probiotics to encourage ketosis. They will also give you an improved energy level and include biotin which is great for the hair and nail side effects of a keto diet. You take 3 tablets per day. They are gluten free and do not contain any genetically modified ingredients. The full list of ingredients can be found on the Natures Plus website.

Also available in the KetoLiving range is KetoLiving Sugar Control, which contains 750mg of berberine. This helps to control your blood sugar levels, increases your metabolism and reduces those annoying sugar cravings.
